It is with great pleasure the McArthur lab announces that Lead Developer for the Comprehensive Antibiotic Resistance Database (CARD), Amos Raphenya, is starting his M.Sc. studies with us on drug metabolism in the gut microbiome. Amos has been a member of the lab since 2015 and has led the software engineering and database design for CARD, most notably development of the Resistance Gene Identifier. He has worked with government agencies and assisted researchers across the globe as part of his work with CARD. We are thrilled that Amos will be expanding his work as a newly minted MSc student in our laboratory!
